Anton Root

Co-founder

Anton is in charge of conducting carbon market research, implementing client projects, and building products for AlliedOffsets. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from New York University and obtained his MSc in Economics at SOAS.

Why do you want to work for AlliedOffsets?

I’ve always wanted to build a company that trusts people to work hard without micromanaging, encourages people to work hard and be innovative, and is an open and welcoming environment to all. I’m glad we’ve been able to build that at AlliedOffsets — the fact that we’re also doing something positive for the world is the cherry on top!

Brad is an Business Development Executive with strong grounding in both the Energy and Financial Services sectors. He holds a BS in Finance from University of Illinois, an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago, and an MSc in Sustainability Management and Innovation from The University of Westminster.

Why do you want to work for AlliedOffsets?

Carbon markets are one of the few places where you can watch a traded market develop in real time — and at AlliedOffsets, I’m not just watching, I’m part of it. Add a team of smart, energetic people to that mix, and it’s hard not to enjoy coming to work.

Charmaine works on developing and validating voluntary carbon market data to improve data quality and pricing insights at AlliedOffsets. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at Imperial College London, with a strong focus on data analysis, climate change, and sustainability.

Why do you want to work for AlliedOffsets?

I’ve always believed that work should be both enjoyable and fulfilling, and AlliedOffsets showed me that’s actually possible. I love being able to contribute to data integrity in the carbon market, where the numbers genuinely matter for the planet. But most importantly, being surrounded by people who care about the same things I do is what makes it.

Domitilla works on the analysis of voluntary carbon market data and contributes to the development of data tools, visualizations and market insights at AlliedOffsets. She holds a Master’s degree in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University.

Why do you want to work for AlliedOffsets?

What motivates me most about working at AlliedOffsets is the opportunity to apply rigorous analysis to a challenge that genuinely matters to me. I enjoy contributing to the tools, models and visualizations that bring clarity to the complexity of the voluntary carbon market where information is often fragmented and difficult to interpret. It is rewarding to work with a driven team where our efforts help make this space easier to understand enabling more effective progress and collaboration towards sustainable development.

Eduardo is a Business Development Representative with a background in sustainability, climate policy, and environmental communications. He brings experience in policy campaigning and stakeholder engagement, combining commercial insight with a deep understanding of climate finance. He holds a Master’s degree in Climate Change, Development and Policy from the University of Sussex.

I wanted a role that blends my passion for climate, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable development — and AlliedOffsets does exactly that. Every day I get to speak with people from across the world who are working on projects that go far beyond carbon. Commercial and Business Development Manager

Emily Barrass leads the commercial function at AlliedOffsets. She works closely with enterprises, financial institutions, and market participants to make sure AlliedOffsets is delivering exactly what clients need to succeed in the carbon markets. Emily’s background spans politics and startup sales, and she completed her politics degree at Durham University in politics, specialising in middle eastern politics and sustainable policy.

Why do you want to work for AlliedOffsets?

I wanted a role which allowed me to move quickly, be innovative, and support the environment. I joined AlliedOffsets at an exciting stage, with a lot still to figure out and real scope to get stuck into the commercial side. It moves fast and there’s always something new going on, which is exactly what I wanted. The market matters too. Carbon markets are still taking shape, so being here early means we get a hand in how they develop instead of just keeping up. The best part of the sales side is that it’s solutions-led. Clients are moving fast, and my job is working out what actually helps them. I learn loads from the people here too. Everyone’s so talented and great fun to work with.

Fundi conducts research into regulatory frameworks which govern carbon markets for AlliedOffsets and client projects. He has experience consulting in governance and political economy in Southern Africa, and is currently completing his Master’s degree in Environment, Politics and Development at SOAS University of London.

What I love about AlliedOffsets is the ability to work on projects that genuinely bridge the gap between climate change, finance, and global development. Ginevra is a Buyer Data Intern at AlliedOffsets, where she analyzes voluntary carbon market data with a focus on buyer activity and contributes to the development of data tools and market insights. She is currently studying Geography and Spatial Data Science at King’s College London and is working towards her undergraduate degree, expected in 2026.

Josefin is the marketing manager at AlliedOffsets and is responsible for all marketing and communications. She has a background working in sustainable tech and SaaS businesses and holds a degree in International Development from King’s College London.

Lars has two decades of financial market experience, and is author of Money Mavericks and Investing Demystified. He has a BA from Harvard University in Economics and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Why do you want to work for AlliedOffsets?

I believe the carbon markets generally and AlliedOffsets specifically have an incredible opportunity to do amazing work with the world’s climate. The carbon markets can be an ecosystem where innovative and scalable ways of removing and avoiding carbon emissions and be found and cultured, in a way that I don’t think the world appreciates. Working in carbon markets also means working in a mix of finance, development, technology, politics, engineering, and obviously the environment so there is something for everyone. Doing this with such a committed and wonderful group of people as my colleagues is a special treat that I enjoy daily.

Pranav analyses the carbon removal market and maintains the data pipeline for CDR projects. He holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London. With significant experience in the compliance market as a CBAM expert, he is now our CDR analyst, focusing on bringing high-quality insights to the VCM.

Why do you want to work for AlliedOffsets?

Kind of a no-brainer, honestly. I wanted to work in sustainability, carbon removal specifically without being a process engineer, and AlliedOffsets was the perfect fit. Data-driven insights, meaningful work that matters for future generations, and a young and diverse team that moves fast across every function. But what really sets it apart is the culture. Coming from a different country entirely, these people became family – and I genuinely mean that :)). Everyone is kind, the energy is very very good, and yes, there are 3 office dogs for when you need a pick-me-up.

Tian analyzes voluntary carbon market data and develops data products and visualizations at AlliedOffsets. She previously gained two years of experience researching and implementing renewable energy and sustainability technologies. Tian holds a Master’s degree in Earth Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where her research focused on carbon capture and storage, and a Bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Reading, where her research focused on climate modelling.
